Each year, the Ottawa Humane Society rescues, cares for and re-homes 11, 000 animals in our community.   The goal of the OHS is to always provide immediate care for and create a better future for all of Ottawa’s animals.

Wiggle Waggle Walkathon

The Ottawa Humane Society (OHS) held its most successful Wiggle Waggle Walkathon in the Central Experimental Farm Arboretum. Over 1,500 participants and their companion animals took part in the 21st annual IAMS Wiggle Waggle Walkathon, and raised over $195,000 for the animals, surpassing the goal and bringing in $40,000 more than last year.

All funds raised will go toward supporting the many ongoing programs and activities at the OHS, including humane education, animal visits, dog walking, adoptions, and foster care.
